2025 Four Star Leadership
Four Star Leadership is a world-class summer leadership program providing 70 top high school students with face-to-face experiences with inspirational leaders.
The 2025 Four Star Leadership program will be held July 13-18. Applications are due in their entirety by Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:59 pm CST. Four Star Leadership is unique. Students will be challenged with practical leadership and ethical scenarios and then asked to address them individually in a persuasive speech and writing competition as well as collaboratively in an Ethics Bowl competition. The Four Star Leadership Ethics Bowl is a formatted as an in-depth discussion and thought exchange on pre-determined topics and scenarios that effect our world and leaders of today. The teams’ performances are evaluated on the exchange of valid ideas and points relevant to the topics. Participants are judged on their ability to offer constructive criticism, cooperation and communication while analyzing problems and creating solutions. The program includes team-building exercises, spontaneous problem solving and coaching in persuasive speaking and writing. The program is FREE to students. Preparing students for the future. Students have an opportunity to earn scholarships, gain internships and invaluable leadership experience. Students who attend Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks will have a distinct advantage heading to college and in their early career. Many former attendees have received letters of recommendation to colleges. Proven success. Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks is a world-class leadership program developed as a partnership between the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum and University of Central Oklahoma. Since 2008, Four Star Leadership has welcomed more than 1,000 U.S. high school students from 49 different states and 63 international students. Working with a range of leaders including kings, governors, senators and Olympic gold medalists, these students have explored critical national and international issues such as educational reform, foreign policy and entitlement spending. |
