Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks is a world-class leadership program developed as a partnership between the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum and the University of Central Oklahoma. Four Star Leadership offers 70 top high school students invaluable leadership experience through an exciting and challenging curriculum at no cost to students. Since 2008, Four Star Leadership has welcomed more than 1000 U.S. high school students from 49 different states and 63 international students. Working with a range of leaders including kings, governors, senators and Olympic gold medalists, these students have explored critical national and international issues such as educational reform, foreign policy and entitlement spending. Four Star Leadership is unique. Students will be challenged with practical leadership and ethical scenarios and then asked to address them individually in a persuasive speech and writing competition as well as collaboratively in an Ethics Bowl competition. The program includes team-building exercises, spontaneous problem solving and coaching in persuasive speaking and writing. The program is free to students. Nominations may now be made for the 2025 program.
