Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks to Host Awards Banquet

For Immediate Release: June 28, 2018

Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks will host the Four Star Leadership Awards Banquet on Thursday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gaylord University Center on the Oklahoma Christian University campus. The awards banquet will mark the end of the week-long summer leadership program created by the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum.

The Four Star Leadership Awards Banquet is a ceremony to recognize outstanding student performance exhibited during the week-long program and serves as a fundraiser for the program. Philanthropist and former Miss Oklahoma 2017 Triana Browne will deliver the keynote remarks during the dinner. Browne is a Division 1 Track and Field heptathlete and scholar that pursued pageants to compete for the scholarship awards she needed for college. She will be speaking to the attendees about following their own personal journey and remembering where they came from while achieving their dreams. In addition, General Franks will address banquet attendees.

“The goal of Four Star Leadership is to invest in the next generation of leaders by developing young people into the kind of individuals who will propel our world to greater peace, prosperity and mutual respect,” said General Tommy Franks. “We invite members of the public to enjoy dinner and the program as we recognize the 2018 Four Star Leadership Class at our annual awards banquet.”

The 2018 Four Star Leadership program provides 67 of the top performing high school students from around the world a one-of-a-kind opportunity to interact with world leaders. Program curriculum is designed around the four core principles that led General Franks through his 38-year military career: character, common vision, communication and caring. Attendees have a chance to earn more than $30,000 in college scholarships as well as gain internships and receive letters of recommendation.

Tickets to the banquet are $50 and can be purchased online at FourStarLeader.com. Corporate and table sponsorships are also available. All proceeds will benefit Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks.
